The ninth book in The Night World series.
Circle Daybreak hires Keller, a shapeshifting panther, to guard a new Wild Power in Witchlight.
All about a shapeshifter called Raksha Keller, Keller can change into a panther at will, which is a very useful factor. Keller, along with her friends Winnie and Nissa, is looking for a Wild Power. Along the way Keller finds friendship, love and her soulmate in Galen. Galen is also a shapeshifter and he is a sort of royalty among shapeshifters, he can choose what he wants to change into for the first time. When Keller needs his help he then morphs into Keller's shape, turning into a cheetah.
'One from the hearth that still holds the spark' is the line of the prophecy that is related to this story, that line is talking about the Wild Power they are looking for, they should be a witch without knowing they are, and they should be about 17, because of the line in the prophecy about the blind maidens visions, the line is something like 'Born in the year of the blind maidens vision' the 'blind maiden' Aradia went blind when she was 1 year old, after that the only thing she could see where visions about things that where going to happen. The prophecy means the Wild Powers where all born in the same year Aradia went blind. So they should all be around 17 or 18 years old.
